SOUND SYSTEMS

Morris Sound and Contracting has been operating in Ottawa since 2006, branching out from the family business, Morris Sound and Communications, based in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. In the northern region, Barry Morris has been working in the industry for many years and has extensive experience working with churches and other companies in the area.

In Ottawa, Michael Morris, like his father, has worked on numerous sound projects for both churches and other organizations for their special events, in venues ranging from traditional and modern church buildings to entertainment facilities like the Metropolitan Bible Church and the Coliseum movie theatre. His knoweldge of acoustics and sound systems will help you find exactly the right sound setup for your sanctuary, halls, or meeting rooms to best serve your congregational needs.

We're proud to have supplied and run the sound for the year-end banquet of the Capital City Condors at Scotiabank Place in 2011 and 2012!

LEADING WORSHIP - MUSIC LESSONS, SEMINARS

Michael Morris has been heavily involved in worship leading for over 10 years, both in western/southern Ontario and here in Ottawa, including a year-long position at Bromley Road Baptist as the interim Worship Leader and as a Worship Leader for Mercy Community Church. He is now utilizing his musical talents with the worship teams at The Bridge in Kanata.

Music lessons are available for practicing musicians and for those wishing to learn bass, acoustic, or electric guitar. Vocal training and reading music, as well as choir performance can be taught both one-on-one and in small groups.

Seminars are a helpful tool in the education and development of church leaders and musicians that can build relationships between churches, as well as within them. Michael last delivered a history of worship leading seminar with instruction on the modern lead worshipper, complete with a booklet of related educational materials for participants, in his hometown of Sault Ste. Marie in 2010.
